I got married on August 25th, 2007! Here are a few photos.
I'm in Nepal! Catherine-Anne is finishing her Masters with a 4 month practicum in Kathmandu with the Nepal Family Health Program. We're living here to be precise.
I am a Christian. My Myers-Briggs type is ENTP. My Enneagram is type is seven. I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo and theology at Schloss Mittersill.
I like travelling, dancing, Spanish pop, red wine, Alma-Tadema, Anne Michaels, Ella Baila Sola, warm weather, camping, tricky problems, cultural analysis, gadgets, theology, and mango anything.
I don't like lactose. I love the things it usually comes in, mind you.
I do lots and lots of Lindy Hop. Lindy is the original form of Swing dancing, and is a playful, connected dance done to Jazz or Swing music. Salsa too. Argentinean Tango is on the 'to learn' list.
I developed a Statistical Glossing Tool for the United Bible Society. It's a computational linguistics computer program which can automatically translate words between any two languages given parallel passages in both languages. Like so:

Jeff Benoit created a Swing dancing performance group called Swing Riot of which I was a part since its inception.
I designed the technical half of ViewCafé, a program that I worked on at Spicer Corporation in 1999. In Chile, I wrote a database system to help people find jobs.
I worked for MEDA on a project called AgroMonitor, a computer program which tracks rural development projects. It was deployed in Mozambique, Nicaragua and Tajikistan last year! The development team (who only speak Spanish) are in Peru and although I've spent hundreds of hours working with them, I've never met them in person.
I helped destroy a defective iTrip in a creative and dangerous way.
I'm also developing a tool to generate concordances (rather originally named "Concordance Tool") for United Bible Societies. It uses statistical glossing technology to automatically generate new concordances in any language.
*well, countries, anyway... I haven't been to Alaska or the heart of the Brazilian rainforests

Claytronics is my email newsletter with updates on my life
My whimsical analysis of a "Hurrydate" that I attended.
An analysis of Eastern European vs.Western cultural differences from having made many a faux pas at the Schloss.
A letter to my MP about Iraq. A more recent one to 100 MPs about the Ballistic Missile Defense Project.
This isn't really writing, but I have a list of interesting stories that happened to me.
In the fall of 2001, I took a Life Drawing course at the Big Black Pig Studio in Waterloo. Here was my best attempt.
You can read my high school grad write-up written by my friend Mitra.
My friend Sarah was kind enough to assemble a list of my faults.
Vivienne wrote a handy rejection form letter.

All of my photos can be found here and here!
I really probably shouldn't include my dogs in this section. Viv is the urban sherpa. Tim Dyck is a most excellent friend and my former housemate. Nolan created PeaceWorks, a computer consulting company which does low-cost consulting for good causes. Jillian Horton just released her first CD in the time she magically found in between her duties as a doctor. Chris Allen is chilling in London, England. Many more could be listed here, but they don't have a web presence, thus excluding them from the honor of a link.
The Onion is a satirical online newspaper. Here is a typical example.
Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About. Hilarious.
